FED:Dumping taxes won't hurt budget, Hockey

Shadow treasurer JOE HOCKEY says the coalition's plans to dump the carbon and mining
taxes if it wins government won't leave a hole in its budget.

Coalition documents leaked to the Seven Network showed Opposition Leader TONY ABBOTT'S
promise to axe the controversial taxes and implement other promises would leave a $70
billion shortfall.

Mr HOCKEY, while refusing to confirm the figures, told Seven this morning its budget
would not be hurt.
